Zorgon's Starship

Zorgon (Aredjon Zorgon), in case you don't know, is a character from the book I am writing, the Fifth Sector. He is a bounty hunter, and this is his ship. No, it doesn't have a name yet, but I'm thinking of getting it one. Thankfully, it does have a color scheme, and you will notice that many of the sloped bricks that make up its outer hull are from Dino Attack (as well as the cockpit canopy).

Just another view of it. One of my biggest concerns when building it was that, due to the fact that it is one and a half levels high, it would look blocky. In the end, I think it turned out pretty good, but not as good as I would have liked. Unfortunately, though, my LEGO® collection does have its limits.

Ah. A much clearer, brighter version of the picture you just saw.

Here is one of the ship's two wing cannons.

And here is one of the the two rotating top cannons.

In the back of the ship, wedged between the two engines, is a small gunner's cockpit, which has controls for the two small laser cannons on either side of it, as well as the rear top cannon.

A little toolbox just above the gunner's cockpit.

Very boring engines.

The ship's "landing gear," if it can even be called that. I just wish there were a way I could make something that would hold the ship up, without me feeling like it's going to fall over all the time, but still fold into the hull.

The gunner's cockpit with the canopy folded down. You can see the control board, which is just in front of the seat. Behind the seat is a hatchway to the main area of the ship.

The side of the starship.

Here one of the two cargo compartment hatches is folded down. The cargo compartment sits just under the floor of the main deck, and is two bricks high.

With the hatch closed.

The front of the ship. It's not very sleek, but it is quite powerful, and fast, I might add.

The top, with the rotating laser cannons visible.

Here is the removable roof section that can be lifted off to gain access to the ship's interior.

The canopy removed from the ship.

The cockpit, with the canopy off, of course.

A view of part of the main living area. Here we see the ship's main computer terminal.

The one and only bed.

And now... what's this? A prison compartment, or a hatchway to the cargo bay.

Both, actually. Of course, if you were keeping a prisoner in the cargo bay you wouldn't want to put anything dangerous in it.

The engine room in the back. The back panel here removes, revealing the gunner's cockpit.

On the left side of the engine room is the boarding ramp. Here it is shown lowered.

On the outside.

A full view of the living area.

Here is what the cargo bay looks like with a prisoner in it.

And here is Aredjon Zorgon himself.

Another picture of him, with his purple laser sword.
